an example was that she conveyed to me what my teachers said about the social role i played in the class--something about how you relate to others. something that i was unaware of. and it was something positive. later i also got a fair share of critical feedback (when i violated this or that rule in school). that was conveyed too. but more important was the early positive feedback that puts your own self into a context that you were completely unaware before...
